Cafe Inbetween

Cafe Inbetween
In Progress

Normally tenant projects focus only on the interior, however this project focuses on the boundary between the inside and the outside to induce activities involving the surroundings.
Because it was a plan of a café which mainly specializes on takeout’s, with a large open space located in front of the site, a shop that could accommodate both inside and outside drinking of coffee was sought. Arranging boxes with various functions such as counters, benches, storage and planters in a line on the boundary between the inside and the outside, secured as much space as possible for the rest of the room to be as flexible as possible.
With these boxes placed at the boundary, we aim to allow the tenant to expand activities both inside and outside.
